Dates announced for the 2020 Whidbey Flower Workshop dedicated to teaching foam-free floristry

Whidbey Flower Workshop 2020

April 26, 2020

This year is especially for the wedding specialists, though there is plenty here for any floral business.  As always, everything we cover will be from the perspective of Sustainable Floristry.   This year we are also placing emphasis on floral craftsmanship and some light design theory and color.  We will focus on bridal bouquets and installations.  Of course, we won’t overlook business topics!   We have 3 sessions on that: pricing, floral storytelling, and a juicy dive into Pinterest marketing.  As always, when Tobey is producing the workshop, there is no fluff – just precious, well-spent time crammed with information!

Become a better and more confident floral designer. Attend this two-day floral design workshop with award-winning British florist Joseph Massie in the studio of Passionflower Sue Mcleary. Using a combination of lecture followed by hands-on projects, Joe will guide us through both design concepts and techniques, and how to implement them in our practice. Day one will cover the Principles and Elements of Design, the Design Scheme, and the Golden Ratio. Day two is dedicated to techniques. We will cover both centerpieces and hand-tied bouquets. The goal of this workshop is to enhance your understanding of design theory, as well as to strengthen your technical skills, to help you take your design work to the next level.
